Due to the high pressure of modern life, prolonged sitting with little movement, and irregular diet leading to impaired circulation of qi in the body, dysmenorrhea occurs. Dysmenorrhea not only affects women themselves, but the pain causes physical weakness, inability to concentrate on work, and inability to rest, so the impact is very significant!
It is often said: to fight the enemy, you must first understand the enemy. There are many pathological mechanisms of "dysmenorrhea," among which the most common are as follows:
Factors such as physical weakness and deficiency of both qi and blood, along with blood loss during menstruation, lead to further deficiency of qi and blood in the Chong and Ren meridians. This results in insufficient nourishment of the uterine vessels, causing pain due to lack of nourishment, which leads to dysmenorrhea.
Prone to depression, leading to liver qi stagnation, qi stagnation and blood stasis, or after menstruation and childbirth, residual blood remains inside, accumulating into stasis, stagnating in the Chong and Ren meridians, causing poor blood circulation. Before and during menstruation, qi and blood flow downward to the Chong and Ren meridians, further obstructing the qi and blood in the uterine vessels. "If there is no flow, there is pain," thus causing dysmenorrhea.
Excessive consumption of cold and raw foods leads to cold-induced blood stasis, which, if prolonged, results in blood stasis. This causes poor blood flow before and during menstruation. "Where there is blockage, there is pain," thus causing dysmenorrhea.
Although dysmenorrhea is common among women, it is definitely an abnormal sign and should not be underestimated. Sisters should take timely care and not wait until a small problem becomes a big one to regret it!
