There is something somewhat embarrassing to talk about, but it truly affects people's mood and health, and that is constipation! Constipation is very common in today's society, and it is related to long-term poor lifestyle habits, psychological factors, intestinal problems, dietary habits, and so on. Common symptoms of constipation include reduced frequency of bowel movements, difficulty in defecation, hard and small stools, often accompanied by discomfort such as abdominal bloating and loss of appetite.
In traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis, constipation can mainly be divided into four types: heat constipation, qi constipation, cold constipation, and deficiency constipation.
Clinical symptoms: dry and hard stools, short and reddish urination, flushed face and irritability, sometimes body heat, dry mouth and bad breath, abdominal distension and fullness, pain upon pressing, red tongue with yellow or dry yellow coating, slippery and rapid pulse. In cases of gastrointestinal heat accumulation, the tongue is often red and dry, with a yellow dry coating or prickles.
Cause: The gastrointestinal tract is inherently dry and hot, and excessive consumption of alcohol and greasy, spicy foods leads to more severe accumulation of heat in the stomach and intestines, depleting fluids and damaging body fluids, causing the intestines to lose nourishment and resulting in dry, hard stools.

*Note: Pregnant women should not drink
Clinical symptoms: difficulty in defecation, unsmooth bowel movements, frequent sighing for no reason, constipation worsens whenever in a bad mood, epigastric and abdominal fullness and discomfort, bloating pain, thin greasy tongue coating, wiry pulse.
Causes: Long-term stress, excessive worrying, or prolonged sitting with little movement can lead to stagnation of qi flow and abnormal downward movement, causing the ingested food to remain in the body without proper descent, resulting in "qi constipation."

*Note: Not suitable for pregnant women or during menstruation.
Clinical symptoms: difficulty in defecation, pale complexion, cold limbs, preference for warmth and aversion to cold, abdominal cold pain, soreness and coldness in the lower back, pale or swollen tongue, deep and thin or slow pulse
Causes: Dietary disorders, overeating cold foods, or aging and physical decline lead to deficiency of yang energy, cold qi stagnates in the body, yang energy circulation is obstructed, the large intestine's transmission is weak, resulting in difficulty in defecation.
Tea therapy options: Asthenic cold-related abdominal pain tea therapy
*5pcs per pack*
Ingredients: dried ginger, pitted red dates, Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala
Efficacy: Warms the stomach and disperses cold, promotes qi circulation and warms the meridians. Suitable for abdominal pain after eating raw or cold food, or lower abdominal discomfort during menstruation, accompanied by fear of cold or cold hands and feet.

*Note: Not suitable for those with an unresolved cold and pregnant women. Taking it 1 week before menstruation can alleviate discomfort during the menstrual period.
Clinical symptoms: Straining during defecation, sweating and shortness of breath when exerting effort, weakness after bowel movements, pale complexion and fatigue, limb tiredness and reluctance to speak, pale tongue with white coating, weak pulse. People of this type exhibit difficulty in defecation despite effort, weakness after bowel movements, spontaneous sweating, easy fatigue, reluctance to speak with a low voice, and indigestion.
Cause: Excessive labor leading to internal injury, or deficiency of qi and blood after a serious illness. Qi deficiency results in weak transmission in the large intestine, and blood deficiency fails to nourish the large intestine, causing dryness in the intestines and forming "deficiency constipation."
